The Word Alms...

The meaning of alms is anything given to the poor or needy such as money, food, handouts, or offerings etc.

Matthew 6:1-2~ Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

A Charge To Keep...

Those that are saved should always remain sober, about having a Godly impact on the people around us. Whether it's our father, mother, siblings, friends, and even our enemies.

Remember that we have a charge to keep, and should always love others enough to tell them about how they can be saved.

Matthew 22:37-39~ Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Busted Or Distorted...

While purchasing new headphones for my mixer today. The salesperson brought it to my attention, that a high volume of music, being played through my older headphones, Is what may have "busted" or "distorted" them.

Now that I am aware of this. I will definitely keep a closer eye on my input "levels". To help this new set last as long as possible!

As A Young Boy...

Going to church as a young boy.I would always see women with their head covered using a hat or prayer cloth.I don't see much of that now days,but my wife and oldest daughter still faithfully wear their prayer clothes to church.

1 Corinthians 11:5-6~But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

This Wednesday's bible study was about Holiness in relationships. How God did not have any respect of persons, loved everybody, and we should do the same. Loving others with sincerity and without favoritism no matter who they are.

Romans 12:9 ~ Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

Don't Give Up...

To not love and always associate someone with the mistakes or bad things that they have done in life is not good... If any human is still alive, then they still have the opportunity to become all the good things that God has called them to be.

Don't give up on them, pray for them, and watch God work... For only he has the power to change a person, no matter who they are, if it's his will it shall be done!
