Do You Hear The Trumpet...

This Sunday's message was titled "Do You Hear The Trumpet". Explaining from a spiritual point of view. The disturbing signs of the times that represent the sword and God's truth which represents the trumpet.

How we must take heed to these signs, by living lives that reflect Holiness, and blow the trumpet by being a witness to others about Salvation through Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38-39) before it's too late.

Sometimes I wonder how is the wealthy able to distinguish what is, and what is not genuine love in their relationships with people. Really, how do they know

that they are loved for who they are, and not because of their money? At the end of the day everybody deserves to be genuinely loved. This is one thing money can't buy...

It's Always A Blessing...

While walking in the store with my children this evening. A little girl walked up to us and handed two of my oldest children a booklet. After we got home and got the chance to take a good look at it.

It was a Gospel track booklet for kids... It's always a blessing to see the youth being a witness for Jesus Christ!! Proverbs 22:6 ~Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

The topic of this Sunday's message was about "Mending Your Ways". How there is a great need for genuinely repenting, and getting your life right with God... For receiving Salvation, and being determined to live a Holy life,

both inside the church and outside the church.Then at the closing of the message, we were left with this question... Examine yourself... are you really in right standing with God... if you died today, where would you spend eternity?

The Value Of Salvation...

Because Of God's Grace...

Tonight as I read and meditated on the following scripture. It made me mindful of how we should always remain HUMBLE and grateful for every blessing, and every gift that God has given to us.

It's nothing that we have done so greatly to deserve all that we have, but it's because of God's grace and mercy that we are blessed the way that we are!

Romans 12:3 ~For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Pray During Every Season...

Our congregation had a busy Saturday this weekend... We had a street meeting this morning. Where some of the church members went out and witnessed to others about salvation.

There was choir practice this afternoon, then we held a sisterhood prayer meeting afterwards. We're a small congregation but we still remain active for the glory of God!

June Is Almost Over...

The end of June is almost here, and summer will be over before you know it. Kids will be back in school ... I remember when I was a child.

It felt like summer lasted for a long time, and I couldn't wait to get back to school ... Especially that first week or so, when everybody wore their new clothes!

Provision is the action of providing or supplying something for use, to supply with food, drink, or equipment, especially for a journey.

Yes, a man must work but it's not good to work all the time. Even God didn't work 24/7.It's in the bible that he rested on the seventh day... Take some time off and enjoy yourself. A man once told me that only two things work all the time, and they don't live very long, that's a bee and an ant!

Gray Areas...

From time to time my wife and I talk about the gray areas of life. Those areas that are hard to deal with. For example, I shy away from people that are in a bad mood all the time, and I don't talk to them as much.

I'd rather talk to people that are consistently positive in their moods. Being a Christian this is something that I must continue to work on. We must treat everyone with love and kindness no matter what their mood is like.

Jeremiah 31:3 ~The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Making Clay Roses...

Getting creative while watching craft tutorials. My oldest daughter showed me a clay rose she made today that actually looks realistic. She did a good job, being one who makes crafts myself.

I was curious to see how she made her rose, and the tutorial that we saw looks fun. If you like trying new crafts or have kids that like crafting this looks like a fun craft to make!

Righteousness Daily...

This Wednesday nights Bible study was about the walk of a child of God. How we being saved should not walk in darkness. But walk in the newness of life, living perfect before the Lord. Reaching for his righteousness daily. Trusting him to keep us on track and not we ourselves.

Satisfaction Guaranteed...

We enjoyed a great brotherhood service on today, the message was titled "Satisfaction Guaranteed". How having all the money, material things and best relationships in the world.

Still won't satisfy the emptiness that one can feel when they don't have salvation on the inside. Only Jesus can fill the void, for it's in him that you will find satisfaction guaranteed!!

Isaiah 55:1-2 ~Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Stop Counting The Tally Marks...

There is peace, growth, and breakthrough when one truly trusts God. Giving up totally to how he views you and what he wants to do in your life is what pleases him.

No matter how many times you fail. Remember to stop counting the tally marks, sincerely repent, and reach for new beginnings in God EVERYDAY.

There will come a time when you will look up, and see the evidence that it was nothing you did, but it was God that kept you, cleansed you, and washed you free of the bondage that you were once in!!

Proverbs 3:5-6 ~Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The Great Men In My Life...

I'm looking forward to spending Father's Day with my dad on Sunday(that's him in the picture). He is the kind of man, that has always been a hard worker, that believed in loving and taking care of his family, I thank God for him.

I'm also grateful that my children get to enjoy these same qualities with their father. God has truly placed great men in my life. To my dad and my husband I say "Happy Father's Day" I love You !!

safety net. Working together to get things done, like the locusts that band together, and staying determined to reach your goal, like the spider who doesn't mind respinning it's web. No matter how many times it's been torn down!

Challenged Our Children...

Today I realized how much older I have gotten. After my husband and I challenged our two oldest children, to about four races. I felt myself running hard like I did as a kid. Oh I thought I was moving (smiles).

Now that the family is back home and relaxed. I feel weak and tomorrow I'll probably be looking for the muscle rub. :) We all enjoyed ourselves though, and actually look forward to doing this again!

No More Sorrows...

After attending a funeral today, I was reminded of how precious time really is. How we can be here today, and gone tomorrow. No, we don't know when our dying day is. But when it comes and finds us living a life of Holiness. We shall live again, in an eternity where there is no more dying and no more sorrows.

Revelation 21:4 ~And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Remain Humble...

Be careful not to glorify yourself in the things of this world . Nor toot your own horn, with a "look what I can do" attitude. But remain humble, letting your glory be towards the things that God delights over.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 ~Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
