Started Our Shopping...

Though it's the early days of summer. It's still never too early to get school shopping done for the up coming year. At least that's the plan in our household. We started our shopping today,

and so far we have purchased some nice and affordable items, that the kids like.Saving money and not having to procrastinate towards the end of summer feels great!

Greater Than Sunshine...

I have been feeling a little down today, it's nothing new are alarming though. We all have those days where we feel down, and the truth is that though everyday is not going to feel like sunshine.

I'm still encouraged because I know that God. The one who is greater than the sunshine is still with me, and I can always find peace, and comfort in him!

Matthew 11:28 ~Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

My Real Eyeglasses...

After two years of wearing my first pair of prescription eyeglasses. I learned quickly that glasses and babies don't get along. As you can see in the picture, those are my real eyeglasses.

Between bending, reshaping, yes super gluing, and taping them back together. Now I don't have to wear them anymore. I'm enjoying a brand new pair, that I will not be leaving around sweet and curious little hands.. :)

We Can Resist...

This Wednesday nights bible study was continued from last week's teaching about sin, and how Jesus condemned sin in the flesh. So that we also can resist sin in the flesh. When we walk after things of the spirit.

Romans 8:2-4 ~For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The Word Condemn...

Condemn means to indicate strong disapproval of to determine, or judge to be wrong, or guilty.

1 John 3:20-23 ~For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

Special Treatment Today...

I'm enjoying special treatment today, because I didn't have to cook (smiles). My husband cooked our Sunday meal on Saturday. So when we all got home from church. We could just eat, no waiting, that's always a plus.

This picture was a previous meal that he had cooked, but today the menu was a little different. We had barbeque chicken, Lima beans, corn and cornbread, it looks pretty good too. Happy Sunday!!

Don't Rush Your Life...

Remembering something my grandma used to say when her grandchildren would talk about how they couldn't wait for this or wait for that... She would respond "be patient, don't rush your life".

It's also the same thing when we as parents tell our kids. " Enjoy these days, you don't have any adult responsibilities yet, so enjoy being a child. It goes by so fast."

Yes it sure does, we truly are adults in this life longer than we are children... If we are blessed to live a long life.

Fear Of Driving...

I am one who has struggled with a fear of driving. Every since I was old enough to learn how. I have always had a fear of my mind going blank in traffic due to anxiety, and not knowing what to do next. But I thank God that I

have learned to trust him in this area of my life, and I'm now able to override that fear and just drive. I have actually driven places this week, that I never thought I would drive in my lifetime. Lord I thank you for being with me!!

Isaiah 41:10 ~Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Philippians 4:13 ~I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Being Wrong...

This Wednesday night's bible study was about the dangers of being wrong, and knowingly practicing sin. How important it is to truly repent, and not allow unrighteousness to destroy your life.

Colossians 3:25 ~But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

The Great Thing Is...

You can't face a sin problem without accepting that you have one first. Many times we as people do not like to face our problems concerning sin. As if it's going to disappear because we don't address it.

The great thing about this type of situation is that God knows how to deal with our sins. If we would just admit them, repent, and ask for forgiveness.

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Word Peaceable...

Peaceable means to avoid argument or violent conflict, strife or dissension; not hostile: a peaceable person; a peaceable disposition.

James 3:17-18 ~But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy

and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Out With The Old...

The brakes on my car had been popping and squeaking lately, come to find out I needed new brake shoes. So then it was out with the old and in with the new. I decided for the first time, that I would replace them myself.

After looking at a couple of YouTube videos, to see how it was done. I felt confident that I could do this myself. It took about two hours to correctly complete the job. I must say it was a good learning experience.

The Word Abide...

Abide means to accept or act in accordance with, to submit.To remain steadfast, faithful to, endure, to continue on.

Earlier last week I came across a singer on Youtube. Who has an awesomely beautiful, and anointed voice,(Oh how I love her voice). Her name is Melanie Robinson, she also has a music single titled

"You Are" that can be purchased on iTunes. I pray that God will continue to bless the gift that he has placed in her, and continue allowing her to be a blessing to listeners all over the world!!

Careful And Watchful...

This Wednesday night's bible study was about false doctrine, and how to be careful and watchful for it. Discerning those that are false prophets.

1 John 4:1-3 ~Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Little Boxing Glove...

After a fun day of playing outside. I think "Zee" was bitten by an ant. We noticed that one of his hands looks like a little boxing glove, and has what looks like small bumps. The good thing is it hasn't slowed him down at all, but because of the swelling.

I'll be helping to keep that down, until it looks better. My oldest daughter swells like this too, when bitten by ants. I wonder why that is, when I was little my ant bites only left itchy bumps, but no swelling at all...

The Word Idleness...

Idleness means not keeping busy, or to do nothing, avoiding work, having no employment.
Proverbs 31:10 ~Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Proverbs 31:27-28 ~She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

Wonderful Sisterhood Retreat...

Today I enjoyed a wonderful sisterhood retreat, with my sisters in Christ. We laughed, we learned, we listened, and we talked about certain topics such as modesty,

and how we should carry ourselves as saved women. I thank God for it, and I'm looking forward to our sisterhood service on tomorrow!

Talking Walking Miracle...

Have faith in God for what he can and will do in your life... For there was a time in history when you didn't even exist. Yet the God that we serve brought you into existence... A living, breathing, talking, walking, miracle.

There is NOTHING too hard for him, he is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ask or think. Therefore remain encouraged, and with faith and expectancy, Watch. God. Move!!

Being In His Will...

This Wednesday night's bible study was about God's will for our lives as a saved people. How we must not forget that being in his will. Should reflect a life of faithfully following his

commandments, giving our tithes like we should, and attending church when we should.

Hebrews 10:24-25 ~And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

The Sweetest Thing...

Mother's Day is coming up pretty soon, and I'm looking forward to telling my mother how much I appreciate her for being a great mom. Being the first born, I remember her telling me of how,

she would hold me for hours when I was a baby. She would just sit and look at me. Thinking of how I was the sweetest thing she had ever seen, and gave me the nickname "Candy".

Lost In The Woods...

My son "bubby" randomly runs up to me today and says "mama I thought you said I was going to get married"... I responded yes if it's the Lords will, when you become a grown man, then you might get married.

He responds "well, you can dance with me"... (I guess waltzing means marriage to him!) Touched by what he said, I gave him a big hug, and explained to him that to be married he would still have to FIND a wife one day. Then with a worried look on his face, he said..."but I'll get lost in the woods!!" LoL...LoL precious memories!!

Remember To Love...

Remember to love, forgive, and be kind to others. No matter how people treat, or have treated you... Don't hold on to the poison that grudges and unforgiveness can bring. Because when the time comes for you to pass on

from this life into eternity... NOTHING will matter but how you lived your life, and the condition of your soul... So lead a life of love, forgiveness, and kindness, and carry a spirit filled with Holiness!

Tormented By Fear...

There are many people that are saved, but still battle fear, and I wanted to post this thought of encouragement. To say that fear can be combated, when you believe what God's word says about the topic.

Don't let the enemy confuse you, by convincing you that this is just your personality or it's how you will always be. Not true, bind and cast away those negative feelings from your life.

By remembering that God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind... embrace your sound mind today, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

2 Timothy 1:7 ~For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
