It Goes By...

This Wednesday nights bible study was about "time", the time that is appointed to man. How quickly it goes by, and how important it is to start doing,

what God has appointed us to do. Being careful not to waste this time, on things that don't matter... For only what we do for Christ will last!

When Standing Up...

I recently uploaded a video of encouragement, titled "You've Got To Endure". It's Part of a song that I wrote and am singing. Inspired by all that the saved has to endure... When standing up for what Is Righteous, Holy, and True. Be encouraged, my brothers and sisters in Christ!!

Matthew 24:9-13 ~Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. When The Wind Blows...

When the wind blows I can feel it, can't see it, but I know it's there. This is the same way I feel about the God I serve. Just knowing that my Lord and savior is always there, has took me through so many low places in my life.

When I felt like giving up, I still made it out. I don't know how it was done or fixed but it was. Thank you Lord for allowing me to feel your presence, and to those of you that are currently going through a difficult time. I say leave it all in the hands of the almighty Jesus Christ.

The Word Carnal...

The word carnal is characterized by the flesh or the body. It's passions, appetites, and sensual, pleasures. Not spiritual, but having a secular tendency.

New Places In God...

Just getting home from a powerful, second night of church revival. The first night's topic was about putting on your "traveling shoes" to go new places in God, and tonight's message came out of the book of Matthew, and was about putting on new spiritual clothing!

Matthew 9:16-17 ~No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

You're Not An Adult...

While talking to my son "bubby" today. He was telling me about something that he saw on a cartoon that he was watching, and as I was listening and interacting with him.

He would respond with a "uh huh" instead of a yes ma'am. So I reminded him of what to say when answering adults (yes ma'am and yes sir) not "uh huh".

Then he said so sweetly "but you're not an adult... you're a momma" LOL...I was not expecting him to say that, and it was so funny to me, but I had to keep a straight face, so he would take me seriously. I must say that his response was clever and justifiable in it's own way (smiles)!!

Seeing Souls Saved...

This Wednesday nights bible study was about Evangelizing, and looking forward to witnessing to others, seeing souls saved, and creating church growth!

Acts 2:37-41 ~Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Not Growing Weary...

Today I was thinking about the importance of, ALWAYS being ready to do God's will. Both in season and out of season... not growing weary.

For we never know when God will use us for his Glory. To impact the lives of certain people, that are hurting, listening for, and seeking after the things of God!

1 Corinthians 15:58~ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

The Word Persecution...

Persecution is the unfair, hostile treatment, or harassment of others because of their race, political, or religious beliefs.

He Conquered Death...

Looking forward to celebrating resurrection Sunday on tomorrow! That time in history when Jesus, our God, our Lord and Savior conquered death! For he is not dead, he is alive and he lives so that we can live again, Hallelujah!

The Word Strife...

Strife means to be angry or bitter with someone. To have conflict and contention with another.

Proverbs 28:25~He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.

Proverbs 29:22~An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.

Grateful For This Change...

While I listened to the man of God preach one day. He begin to talk about the spirit of being slothful, and how it can have a negative effect on your life.

Personally, I felt that this applied to me and had been a problem in my life for a while. But now I have a testimony to tell. That this is no longer a lingering problem for me.

I'm able to get to church on time, pay my bills on time, and save more money than before. Just to name a few things. I am so grateful for this change, I thank you Jesus.

Proverbs 12:24~ The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. Proverbs 15:19~ The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.

A Solemn Assembly...

This Wednesday nights bible study. Was about our purpose for fasting, and holding a solemn assembly this week.
In remembrance of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Joel 2:15-16~ Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts:
let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

The Word Abase...

Abase means to humble someone, or bring them back down to a base level.

Matthew 23:12~And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

A Wonderful Gathering...

We enjoyed a wonderful gathering today. To celebrate the gender reveal of a new addition to our family.

We found out that we are the aunt and uncle of a baby boy! Congratulations to the first time parents to be. My sister and our brother in-law we love you!!

Every Day All Day...

Sitting and thinking about how great it feels to be alive, to be in good health, to have a family to love, and that loves me back...

Having Agape Love...

This Wednesday nights bible study was about the importance of having agape love. Showing a love for others that is unconditional.

1 Corinthians 13 ~ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

The Word Alms...

The meaning of alms is anything given to the poor or needy such as money, food, handouts, or offerings etc.

Matthew 6:1-2~ Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

A Charge To Keep...

Those that are saved should always remain sober, about having a Godly impact on the people around us. Whether it's our father, mother, siblings, friends, and even our enemies.

Remember that we have a charge to keep, and should always love others enough to tell them about how they can be saved.

Matthew 22:37-39~ Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Busted Or Distorted...

While purchasing new headphones for my mixer today. The salesperson brought it to my attention, that a high volume of music, being played through my older headphones, Is what may have "busted" or "distorted" them.

Now that I am aware of this. I will definitely keep a closer eye on my input "levels". To help this new set last as long as possible!

As A Young Boy...

Going to church as a young boy.I would always see women with their head covered using a hat or prayer cloth.I don't see much of that now days,but my wife and oldest daughter still faithfully wear their prayer clothes to church.

1 Corinthians 11:5-6~But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

Don't Give Up...

To not love and always associate someone with the mistakes or bad things that they have done in life is not good... If any human is still alive, then they still have the opportunity to become all the good things that God has called them to be.

Don't give up on them, pray for them, and watch God work... For only he has the power to change a person, no matter who they are, if it's his will it shall be done!
